The validating body visited communities of the municipality, August 9-10, 2018. AngatMagsasakangPinoy program of the LGU In partnership with the university aims to help farmers’ children to pursue higher education through scholarship on the Diploma in Agricultural Technology and Bachelor of Agricultural Technology of ISU San Mateo. LGU San Mateo provided two scholarship grants per barangay in the municipality.
Inclusively, out-of-school youth are also encouraged aside from the two-scholar per barangay scheme. This even encouraged the Alternative Learning System graduates from the DepEd to pursue a degree exclusive only in agriculture related courses. Furthermore, the existing partnership of ISU and the LGU even started beforehand as ISU-San Mateo collaborates through its extension programs and services. Informal education for farmers, livelihood and values education are few of the many extension services to the communities of the municipality.
